Enzymatic degradation of biopolymers in amorphous and molten states: mechanisms and applications
This review explains how polymer morphology and thermal state shape enzymatic degradation pathways, comparing amorphous and molten biopolymer structures. By integrating structure–reactivity principles with insights from thermodynamics and enzyme engineering, it highlights mechanisms that enable efficient polymer breakdown.

Designing digital learning environments [PDF]
In this paper an overview is given of current developments in the Netherlands. The second part starts with some educational fundaments for Digital Learning Environments (DLE’s). The elements of DLE’s are described by the different interactions and communications between the student and participants and materials in learning environments.

In this study, we developed a deep learning method for mitotic figure counting in H&E‐stained whole‐slide images and evaluated its prognostic impact in 13 external validation cohorts from seven different cancer types. Patients with more mitotic figures per mm2 had significantly worse patient outcome in all the studied cancer types except colorectal ...

ABSTRACT Objective Peripheral neuropathies contribute to patient disability but may be diagnosed late or missed altogether due to late referral, limitation of current diagnostic methods and lack of specialized testing facilities. To address this clinical gap, we developed NeuropathAI, an interpretable deep learning–based multiclass classification ...
