Learning Political Engagement

This chapter sets out the processes in which political engagement is learnt both inside and outside of school. It explains the theories using two different conceptual models of learning: one a cognitive model based on the acquisition of knowledge, and the other, a constructivist model based on active participation and co-construction of meaning.
