On four new tropical and subtropical Lecane (Lecanidae, Monogononta, Rotifera)
Hydrobiologia, 1994Four new tropical/subtropical species of Lecane are described. L. abanica n. sp. is recorded from Saudi Arabia and the Comoro Islands; L. minuta n. sp. and L. spiniventris n. sp. from the Sultanate of Brunei, and L. nelsoni n. sp. from Brazil. An attempt is made to include characters of the trophi in the diagnosis of these Lecane.

Lecane donyanaensis n. sp. (Rotifera: Monogononta, Lecanidae) from the Doana National Park (Spain)
Hydrobiologia, 1994A hitherto unknown rotifer species was found in ponds of Dofiana National Park (Spain) during winter 1990, 1991 and 1992. It belongs to the family Lecanidae (Monogononta), is related to Lecane ungulata and superficially resembles Lecane leontina. Two specimens of this species hatched after two days incubation of pond sediments in the laboratory.

Lecanid rotifers (Rotifera: Monogononta: Lecanidae) from North-Eastern India
Hydrobiologia, 1997Thirty-five species of the family Lecanidae are examined from Tripura state in North-Eastern India. Of these, Lecane levistyla and L. scutata are interesting cold-water forms; L. batillifer is an Australasian element; L. acanthinula and L. sinuata are Oriental endemics and L. braumi, L. lateralis and L. simonneae are palaeotropical species. The lecanid

Contributions to the rotifer Fauna of West Bengal. Part I. Family Lecanidae
Hydrobiologia, 1978In the present study thirty six lecanid rotifers, spreading over thirty species, have been recorded and illustrated. A new combination i.e., Lecane luna f. dorsicalis has been proposed. The validity of the number of toes as character of generic importance has been examined.

The biology of C.rusci was studied during an annual cycle on fig tree (Ficus carica) in the area of Medea (Algeria). This species expresses two generations autumnal and spring. The hivernation is carried out at the stage young female with which they are associated the larvae with the second stage females.

During a survey of the marine rotifers of the Northern Adriatic Sea, Italy, we found a total of 20 taxa, including a new species of Lecane. This novelty, Lecane insulaconae sp. nov., occurred in the interstitial area of sandy sediment in the outlet of the Isonzo River, at a salinity of 30‰ and is therefore the first exclusively marine representative of
