Twenty species of rotifers of the genus Lecane were found in inland fresh and brackish waterbodies of the Balearic archipelago L. margalefi n. sp. has been found in a semi-arid area of Majorca island, and it is probably endemic. It is an illoricate species related to the L. luna group by its foot morphology, but similar in shape and size to L.

Se estudiaron las variaciones en el perfil de polifenoles de Tripodanthus acutifolius (Ruiz et Pav.) Tiegh., en relación con la infección causada por "cochinilla", analizando comparativamente los extractos metanólicos de hojas sanas e infectadas. Se determinaron diferencias cuali-cuantitativas cuando se compararon ambos materiales.
