LED Receiver Impedance and Its Effects on LED-LED Visible Light Communications [PDF]
This paper experimentally demonstrates that the AC impedance spectrum of the LED as a photodetector heavily depends on the received optical power, which may cause the impedance mismatch between the LED and the post trans-impedance amplifier. The optical power dependent impedance of the LED is well fitted by a modified dispersive carrier transport model

Design of an Oximeter Based on LED-LED Configuration and FPGA Technology [PDF]
A fully digital photoplethysmographic (PPG) sensor and actuator has been developed. The sensing circuit uses one Light Emitting Diode (LED) for emitting light into human tissue and one LED for detecting the reflectance light from human tissue. A Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) is used to control the LEDs and determine the PPG and Blood Oxygen ...

LED–LED portable oxygen gas sensor [PDF]
A portable instrument for oxygen determination, based on the quenching of phosphorescent octaethylporphyrin by gaseous O(2), has been developed using the fluorimetric paired emitter-detector diode technique (FPEDD). The instrument configuration consists of two light-emitting diodes (LEDs) facing each other, with an interchangeable support containing a ...

LED-to-LED wireless communication between divers [PDF]
<p class="Abstract">For military divers, having a robust, secure, and undetectable wireless communication system available is a fundamental element. Wireless intercoms using acoustic waves are currently used. These systems, even if reliable, have the defect of being easily identifiable and detectable.

The merger that led to the formation of the Milky Way’s inner stellar halo and thick disk [PDF]
The assembly of our Galaxy can be reconstructed using the motions and chemistry of individual stars1,2. Chemo-dynamical studies of the stellar halo near the Sun have indicated the presence of multiple components3, such as streams4 and clumps5, as well as

Mini-LED, Micro-LED and OLED displays: present status and future perspectives
Presently, liquid crystal displays (LCDs) and organic light-emitting diode (OLED) displays are two dominant flat panel display technologies. Recently, inorganic mini-LEDs (mLEDs) and micro-LEDs (μLEDs) have emerged by significantly enhancing the dynamic ...

Angular Color Uniformity Enhancement for Color-Mixed LEDs by Introducing a Diffusing Coating Layer
In this study, a simple and low-cost method is proposed to enhance angular color uniformity (ACU) of color-mixed light-emitting diodes (cm-LEDs) by introducing a diffuse coating layer.
