The oral microbiota and periodontal health in orthodontic patients
Periodontology 2000, EarlyView.Abstract The oral microbiota develops within the first 2 years of childhood and becomes distinct from the parents by 4 years‐of‐age. The oral microbiota plays an important role in the overall health/symbiosis of the individual. Deviations from the state of symbiosis leads to dysbiosis and an increased risk of pathogenicity.

In response, coral restoration projects are being implemented, and rubble stabilization is one such approach. Rubble beds form when dead coral fragments accumulate on the seafloor and can be mobilized by water flow.
