New Evidence on the Green Building Rent and Price Premium [PDF]
This paper investigates the effect of voluntary eco-certification on the rental and sale prices of US commercial office properties. Hedonic and logistic regressions are used to test whether there are rental and sale price premiums for LEED and Energy ...

2D Iron Oxide at the Graphene/SiC(0001) Interface
2D iron oxide was successfully formed via intercalation of Fe and O into the graphene/SiC(0001) interface. Atomic‐resolution electron microscopy revealed that the 2D iron oxide is encapsulated by graphene and sharply interfaced with SiC. This material is suggested to exhibit antiferromagnetic behavior at low temperatures.

Pnictogens Allotropy and Phase Transformation during van der Waals Growth
Pnictogens have multiple allotropic forms resulting from their ns2 np3 valence electronic configuration, making them the only elemental materials to crystallize in layered van der Waals (vdW) and quasi-vdW structures throughout the group.

Influence of the scattering potential model on low energy electron diffraction from Cu(001)−c(2 × 2)-Pb [PDF]
A dynamical LEED intensity analysis is reported for Cu(001)−c(2 × 2)-Pb. The adsorbate layer distance from the substrate is determined as 2.29 Å, and the topmost interlayer spacing for the substrate is the same as in bulk Cu, in contrast to a contraction

Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) were successfully debundled from Tuball soots produced using iron nanocatalysts in arc discharge thermal plasma and distributed on monolayer graphene for HRTEM imaging for mechanistic insights into CNT synthesis. Zigzag single‐wall or double‐wall CNTs were identified.

Real-space study of the growth of magnesium on ruthenium
The growth of magnesium on ruthenium has been studied by low-energy electron microscopy (LEEM) and scanning tunneling microscopy (STM). In LEEM, a layer-by-layer growth is observed except in the first monolayer, where the completion of the first layer in

From Rating System to Thought Leadership: The Evolution of the Canada Green Building Council
ABSTRACT Green Building Social Movement Organizations encourage the adoption of green buildings, primarily by promoting sustainability rating tools. While numerous papers have explored the market impact of these sustainability rating tools, very few have examined either the lengthy and protracted process of their selection and enrollment by ...
