¿De quin (neo)realisme (neo)rural parlem quan analitzem Alcarràs?

open access: yesCatalonia
The critical reception of Carla Simón’s Alcarràs has served to speak of the fashion of neo-rurality and the way in which the filmmaker used methods close to neo-realism.

The AK Party’s Islamic Realist Political Vision: Theory and Practice

open access: yesPolitics and Governance, 2014
The currently governing Turkish AK Party’s reformist agenda at home and its increasingly assertive policies abroad, like the “soft” and “hard” power elements of its foreign policy, reflect a remarkable coherence and continuity in the political vision of ...

Revealing the structure of land plant photosystem II: the journey from negative‐stain EM to cryo‐EM

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Advances in cryo‐EM have revealed the detailed structure of Photosystem II, a key protein complex driving photosynthesis. This review traces the journey from early low‐resolution images to high‐resolution models, highlighting how these discoveries deepen our understanding of light harvesting and energy conversion in plants.

A Probability Model for the Bell Experiment

open access: yesQuantum Reports
The Bell inequality constrains the outcomes of measurements on pairs of distant entangled particles. The Bell contradiction states that the Bell inequality is inconsistent with the calculated outcomes of these quantum experiments.

Manwoman and the Neuterity of Being in Greek Statuary

open access: yesStudia Heideggeriana, 2023
A combination of uncritical interpretations of Greek art maintained since antiquity, together with Heidegger’s failed attempt to connect Being with Dasein through the Greeks, has misled the feminist agenda into dismissing both Heidegger and the Greeks ...

Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

On a possible EPR experiment with $B^{0}_{d}\bar{B^{0}_{d}}$ pairs

open access: yes, 1999
A very general local realistic theory of single $B^{0}_{d}$ mesons and of correlated $B^{0}_{d}\bar{B^{0}_{d}}$ pairs is formulated. If these pairs are produced in the $\Upsilon (4S)$ decay, the local realistic asymmetry for observing pairs with like and

An upstream open reading frame regulates expression of the mitochondrial protein Slm35 and mitophagy flux

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.
