Reprogramming the Myocardial Infarction Conductive Microenvironment with Superconductive Ionic Patch for Cardiac Function Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A super‐conductive ionic patch reprograms the post‐infarction microenvironment by enabling stable ionic migration and electrical signal transmission within damaged myocardium. The patch rapidly adheres to cardiac tissue, enhances conduction velocity, suppresses excitation‐contraction decoupling, and promotes structural and functional cardiac repair in ...

Fluorinated Carnitine Derivatives as Tools to Visualise Carnitine Transport and Metabolism

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Fluorinated carnitines, fluoromethyl carnitine (FMC) and [18F]fluoromethyl carnitine ([18F]FMC), are synthesised and established as powerful probes to interrogate carnitine biology. The multimodal detection facilitated by fluorine labelling, including 19F NMR, mass spectrometry, and positron emission tomography imaging, allowed for visualisation of ...

Left Ventricular Hypertrophy Evaluation in Obese Hypertensive Patients: Effect of Left Ventricular Mass Index Criteria

open access: yesArquivos Brasileiros de Cardiologia, 2002
PURPOSE: To evaluate left ventricular mass (LVM) index in hypertensive and normotensive obese individuals. METHODS: Using M mode echocardiography, 544 essential hypertensive and 106 normotensive patients were evaluated, and LVM was indexed for body ...

Autophagy Activators Normalize Aberrant Tau Proteostasis and Rescue Synapses in Human Familial Alzheimer's Disease iPSC‐Derived Cortical Organoids

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A new cerebrocortical organoid model using isogenic hiPSCs with familial Alzheimer's mutations recapitulates key AD features, including amyloid‐beta and phospho‐Tau aggregation, neuronal hyperexcitability, and synapse loss. Single‐cell RNA‐seq reveals aberrant pathways in excitatory and inhibitory neurons.

Effects of weight loss after sleeve gastrectomy on left ventricular myocardial work in obese patients

open access: yesFrontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine
BackgroundObesity is a global epidemic and a major risk factor for cardiovascular diseases. Laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG) is an effective bariatric surgery, but its effect on cardiac functions remains unclear.

Особливості змін центрального кровообігу і артеріального тиску під впливом карведілолу в процесі курсового лікування хворих із гіпертонічною хворобою [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
The effect of carvedilol on the state of systemic hemodynamic was studied in 36 patients with various forms of hypertensive disease. Conducted investigations had showed expressed increase in heart ejection fraction, lowering of left ventricular ...
