ABSTRACT Sinus venosus defect (SVD) is a rare congenital heart anomaly characterised by an abnormal communication between the atria, often associated with partial anomalous pulmonary venous connection (PAPVC). Traditional surgical repair carries significant risks, prompting exploration into less invasive transcatheter approaches.

Cardiac troponin T in coronary heart disease patients with chronic heart failure
The study included 45 patients with coronary heart disease (CHD) and chronic heart failure (CHF) of functional class I-IV. Increased cardiac troponin T(cTnT) level could be used in verification and assessment of CHF decompensation severity.

ABSTRACT Index of microcirculatory resistance (IMR) is a cutting‐edge, wire‐based tool that advances the capability assessment of coronary microvascular function. By utilizing distal coronary pressure and mean transit time under maximal hyperemia, IMR delivers consistent, reproducible insights into the microvasculature's dynamic health.

Pathophysiologic Consequences of Early Coarctation Stenting in a Longitudinal Porcine Model
ABSTRACT Background Novel stent technologies offer early intravascular treatment options for coarctation (COA). Mid‐to‐long‐term cardiovascular responses to early COA stent interventions are undefined. Aims We studied a porcine model of COA, with and without early stent implantation with serial dilation to adult aortic diameters, aiming to define ...
