Background HRV has mostly shown associations with systolic dysfunction and more recently, with diastolic dysfunction in Heart failure (HF) patients. But the role of sympathetic nervous system in changes of left ventricular (LV) systolic and diastolic ...

Towards Fully Automated Segmentation of Rat Cardiac MRI by Leveraging Deep Learning Frameworks [PDF]
Automated segmentation of human cardiac magnetic resonance datasets has been steadily improving during recent years. However, these methods are not directly applicable in preclinical context due to limited datasets and lower image resolution. Successful application of deep architectures for rat cardiac segmentation, although of critical importance for ...

In KLF1‐on (neonatal and Klf1 overexpression hearts) models, KLF1 regulates Wnt/β‐catenin signaling pathway and the expression of cell proliferation‐related genes via transcriptional and epigenetic mechanisms, which induces cardiomyocyte proliferation and cardiac regeneration in mice after myocardial infarction.

Abstract Background As previously reported, impairment of left ventricular global longitudinal strain (LVGLS) is associated with myocardial fibrosis, arrhythmias, and heart failure in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) patients. Hypothesis This study aimed to estimate the association between LVGLS measured by echocardiography and major adverse ...

AI-enabled Assessment of Cardiac Systolic and Diastolic Function from Echocardiography [PDF]
Left ventricular (LV) function is an important factor in terms of patient management, outcome, and long-term survival of patients with heart disease. The most recently published clinical guidelines for heart failure recognise that over reliance on only one measure of cardiac function (LV ejection fraction) as a diagnostic and treatment stratification ...

Right Ventricular Morphology and Systolic Function in Left Ventricular Noncompaction Cardiomyopathy [PDF]
The distinction between normal right ventricular (RV) trabeculations from abnormal has been difficult. We evaluated whether RV volume and function are related to left ventricular (LV) noncompaction (NC) cardiomyopathy and clinical events. Trabeculations or possible LVNC by cardiac magnetic resonance imaging was retrospectively observed among 105 ...

Cardiomyocyte‐enriched USP20 regulates the K63‐linked ubiquitination of STAT3, and the cardiomyocyte‐specific USP20‐STAT3‐CARM1 axis exerts a protective role in cardiac hypertrophy. Targeting USP20 through cardiac‐specific gene therapy presents a promising strategy for the treatment of cardiac hypertrophy.
