Tacrolimus as Single‐Agent Immunotherapy for Adult‐Onset Myasthenia Gravis: Remission, Relapse, and Safety

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 6, June 2026.
Tacrolimus monotherapy yields high remission in adult‐onset MG, especially in new‐onset or younger patients. Relapse is linked to low tacrolimus concentration and rapid tapering. Hyperglycemia was the most common ADR. Long‐term use may increase cancer risk.

Females Fly Further—Sex‐Specific and Seasonal Differences in Migration Patterns of Pied Avocets

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 6, June 2026.
GPS tracking of 122 pied avocets revealed pronounced sex‐ and season‐specific migration strategies, with females migrating further than males, while spring migration was faster and more fragmented than autumn migration. Avocets spent a substantial part of their annual cycle in the Wadden Sea during the post‐breeding period before starting migration to ...

Effect of Underwater Swimming on Physiological and Perceptual Parameters in Competitive Swimmers: A Comparison With Surface Swimming

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Sport Science, Volume 26, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT In competition, swimmers alternate between swimming on the surface and underwater; they therefore train in apnea to improve their tolerance to lack of oxygen during exercise, even though research in this area remains limited. The aim of the study was to investigate the impact of underwater swimming on physiological and perceptual responses of ...

Self‐limited neonatal epilepsy with 2q24.3 duplications: Case series and literature review

open access: yesEpileptic Disorders, Volume 28, Issue 3, Page 878-883, June 2026.
Abstract Objective To clarify the phenotypic spectrum associated with duplications involving the 2q24.3 region, which includes a cluster of genes encoding sodium channel subunits (SCN1A, SCN2A, SCN3A, SCN7A, and SCN9A). Methods We reviewed our research database for patients with epilepsy and 2q24.3 duplication and performed thorough phenotyping.
