Loss of AMBRA1 activates MAPK and angiogenesis signaling pathways in melanoma cells
Loss of AMBRA1 in melanoma cells activates multiple oncogenic pathways associated with tumor progression. Transcriptomic and protein network analyses revealed that AMBRA1 depletion enhances MAPK/ERK signaling, angiogenesis, TGF‐β/EMT signaling, and Wnt/axon guidance pathways.

Re-thinking the Legacy 2012: The Olympics as commodity and gift [PDF]
This paper opens discussion about the nature of Olympic ‘legacy’ and articulates a contradiction in the way ‘legacy’ is conceived - between ’gift’ and ’commodity’ (Mauss 1954).The The paper argues that establishing working definitions and parameters for ‘

Comparative assessment of crystallographic and cryo‐EM models in the Protein Data Bank
Raw data obtained by X‐ray crystallography or cryo‐EM result in experimental maps, ultimately fitted by atomic models. Although the physical principles are different, the final results can be viewed, compared, and evaluated in the same way. With cryogenic electron microscopy (cryo‐EM) on track to surpass X‐ray crystallography as the preferred method ...

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.
