ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate the short‐term ophthalmic effects of vatinoxan, a peripherally selective alpha2‐adrenoceptor antagonist, in detomidine‐sedated horses. Animals Studied Seven healthy horses without ophthalmic disease in a randomized, masked, two‐period crossover study design, with a ≥ 7‐day rest period.

Abstract Background Hip and elbow dysplasia (HD and ED) are common developmental orthopaedic disorders in dogs. The study objectives were to report population‐based estimates of HD and ED prevalence at screening in young adult dogs of different breeds and to evaluate the phenotypic association between HD and ED.

This did not occur in Britain for human medicines until the 16th century and even later for veterinary medicines.
