open access: yesNoctua, 2023
The attention paid in the Giornale critico della filosofia italiana to the major exponents of seventeenth-century philosophical rationalism, from its foundation by Giovanni Gentile in 1920 until 1979, reveals important changes that provide us with ...

Au-delà de la nature. Les principes de la grâce chez Leibniz

open access: yesLexicon Philosophicum, 2021
Leibniz chose the title Principles of Nature and Grace (PNG) by himself, so this occurrence deserves in our opinion a special research. Indeed, the question remains open as to whether Leibniz is alluding to two different types of principles, each ...

Microbiome−host proteostasis crosstalk—An emerging perspective on mechanisms and interventions toward healthy longevity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Proteostasis and the gut microbiota play a key role in shaping host physiology. Microbiota‐derived metabolites, vitamins, and RNA modulate host proteostasis. Findings from model systems, including C. elegans, indicate microbes can either stabilize or disrupt host proteostasis.

La transformation leibnizienne des principes. Le principe de raison comme principe pratique

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

“En simples physiciens”. La perception animale et la connaissance sensible selon Leibniz en 1714

open access: yesLexicon Philosophicum, 2021
In his solution to the problem of sensible knowledge, Leibniz seeks to avoid the extreme positions held by the Cartesians and Hobbes. The conceptual distinctions that Leibniz introduces allow him to overcome difficulties raised by his own earlier ...

Discerning protein pools by selective staining with self‐labeling tags

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cell surface proteins have an intra‐ and extracellular pool. Combining genetic fusion to self‐labeling tags that can be addressed with small molecule fluorophores allows separating these pools. We highlight recent developments and techniques for state‐of‐the‐art interrogation of cell surface proteins in the complex tissue setting.
