Representations and relative Rota-Baxter operators of Hom-Leibniz-Poisson algebras

open access: yesAlgebra and Discrete Mathematics
Representations and relative Rota-Baxter operators with respect to representations of Hom-Leibniz Poisson algebras are introduced and studied. Some characterizations of these operators are obtained. The notion of matched pair and Nijenhuis operators of Hom-Leibniz Poisson algebras are given and various relevant constructions of these Hom-algebras are ...

Machine Learning‐Assisted Second‐Order Perturbation Theory for Chemical Potential Correction Toward Hubbard U Determination

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
In this work, the Doubao large language model (LLM) is involved in the formula derivation processes for Hubbard U determination regarding the second‐order perturbations of the chemical potential. The core ML tool is optimized for physical domain knowledge, which is not limited to parameter prediction but rather serves as an interactive physical theory ...

A Critical Assessment of Bonding Descriptors for Predicting Materials Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
The impact of new bonding descriptors in machine learning models for predicting material properties is assessed. Improvements are validated using significance tests, and new, intuitive descriptors for screening lattice thermal conductivity and projected force constants are introduced.

Chords, tangents and the Leibniz notation [PDF]

open access: yes
In this article I continue my quest for “understanding the calculus” 1,2 by looking at a practical approach to the notion of a tangent and linking it to the Leibniz notation dy/dx in a meaningful way.

Machine Learning‐Based Estimation of Experimental Artifacts and Image Quality in Fluorescence Microscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2025.
The use of image quality metrics in combination with machine learning enables automatic image quality assessment for fluorescence microscopy images. The method can be integrated into the experimental pipeline for optical microscopy and utilized to classify artifacts in experimental images and to build quality rankings with a reference‐free approach ...

Nijenhuis Operators, Product Structures and Complex Structures on Leibniz Triple Systems

open access: yes
In this paper, we first introduce the notion of a Nijenhuis operator on Leibniz triple systems, which can generate a trivial deformation. Then we use Nijenhuis operators to define product structures on a Leibniz triple system. There exists a product structure on a Leibniz triple system if and only if the Leibniz triple system is the direct sum of two ...

Synthesis and Activity‐Based Protein Profiling Identifies Aldo‐Keto Reductase 1C3 as Target Protein of Myxoglucamides

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
Myxoglucamide A—a novel glycolipopeptide isolated from myxobacteria—was synthesized, and activity‐based protein profiling identified aldo‐keto reductase 1C3 (AKR1C3) as its main target in human cells. Structure‐activity relationship studies, together with biophysical characterization and X‐ray crystallography, elucidated the structural basis of AKR1C3 ...

On the Impact of Mechanical Constraint on Band Structure and Photo‐Elastic Effect in Photonic Resonators

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, EarlyView.
We computationally investigate the mechanical, electronic, and optical properties of strained GeSn microdisks on silicon substrates. By combining photo‐elasticity, strain‐dependent band‐structure calculations, and optical mode analysis, we study how strain distribution, structural configuration, and temperature affect the electronic band structure and ...
