Abstract A case of leiomyoma of the bladder presenting with symptoms of benign prostatic hypertrophy is described. Although benign nonepithelial tumors of the bladder are uncommon, they should be considered in the differential diagnosis of bladder masses.

Six cases of leiomyoma of the esophagus have been presented. The exact etiology of this tumor is not known, although it is believed to originate from the muscular layer. See Image in the PDF File It may occur anywhere in the esophagus, but most often is found in the lower third. These tumors may grow slowly and may be of long duration.
