Cell geometry and membrane protein crowding constrain Escherichia coli growth rate, overflow metabolism, respiration, and maintenance energy

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The physical dimensions and shape of bacterial cells define the surface area available to acquire nutrients and the volume available for synthesizing proteins and DNA. Here, we use computational systems biology to decode the importance of cell geometry as a major determinant of prokaryotic phenotype, including growth rate and metabolic efficiency. This

From mice to humans—divergent strategies for intestinal homeostasis and regeneration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Recent advances such as organoid genome editing, xenotransplantation, imaging, and whole‐genome sequencing have enabled direct studies of human intestinal stem cells (ISCs). These studies reveal species‐specific features, including slower ISC proliferation, distinct injury responses, slower somatic mutation accumulation in humans, and an inverse ...

WEIGHT–LENGTH RELATIONSHIP OF 57 FISH SPECIES OF THE COASTAL RIVERS IN SOUTH–EASTERN OF IVORY COAST [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007

α‐Synuclein aggregation landscape from phase separation to neurotoxic intermediates

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Alpha‐synuclein aggregation in Parkinson's disease involves a complex landscape of transient intermediates, including oligomers, fibrils and liquid–liquid phase separation (LLPS). A view is emerging in which LLPS maturation into solid‐like condensates may contribute to the formation of neurotoxic species.

ABL kinase‐dependent phosphorylation of SH proteins promotes their direct interaction with CRK family SH2 domains

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
CT10 regulator of kinase (CRK) and CRK‐Like (CRKL) are signaling adaptors driving cell adhesion, motility, differentiation, and proliferation. SH2‐domain containing (SH) proteins are enriched in YXXP motifs which when phosphorylated create preferred binding sites for CRK family SH2 domains.

The Length-Length Relationships, Growth Pattern and Condition of Rasbora sp. in Tamblingan Lake, Bali Island

open access: yesSEAS (Sustainable Environment Agricultural Science), 2022
Rasbora sp. is one of native fish species that inhabit in Tamblingan Lake. Several publication that discussed about this species in other ecosystem was published, but very rare information in Tamblingan Lake. The aims of this research ware determine the length-length relationships, growth pattern and condition Rasbora sp. in Tamblingan Lake.

The influence of fibre length, diameter and concentration on the strength and strain to failure of glass fibre-reinforced polyamide 6,6 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Results of an investigation of the mechanical performance of injection moulded long glass fibre-reinforced polyamide 6,6 composites are presented. The glass fibre content in these composites was varied over the range 10-50% by weight using fibres with ...
