TORIC LENS VOLUME

Ophthalmic and Physiological Optics, 1982
Abstract Theory is derived for the calculation of the volume of type‐ and barrel‐form torie lenses. The integral produced is evaluated using an approximate method of integration. Differences between the two volumes are considered insignificant in the corner of spectacle lens manufacture.

Intraocular lens power calculation for lens exchange

Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, 2001
To examine patients who had intraocular lens (IOL) exchange for large postoperative refractive errors and determine the factors that contributed to the error in IOL power calculation.Thirteen affiliated hospitals in Japan. This study comprised 34 cases that required IOL exchange because of large refractive errors after primary lens implantation ...

Refractive lens exchange with a multifocal intraocular lens

Current Opinion in Ophthalmology, 2003
Refractive lens exchange with a multifocal intraocular lens is becoming a more popular method of refractive surgery in the presbyopic patient. The limitations of keratorefractive surgery have led to a resurgence of lens exchange surgery for patients with prescriptions outside the limits of corneal refractive procedures, in addition to patients with ...

Zoom Lens with Aspherical Lens for Camcorder

International Lens Design, 1990
Recent optical systems consist of spherical lens elements, because the spherical lens is suited for productin and the surface inspection. But now as the precision production and mass production technologies are developed, there are many lens systems with aspherical lens elements for still camera and projection TV.

Lens and Dual Lens Models

2019
Abstract This chapter presents variants of Brunswik’s lens model aimed to understand whether, when, and why trait judgments are more or less accurate. After outlining the basic concepts of lens models, it describes exemplary studies that have applied the lens model to unravel personality expression and impression formation processes that

Lens bisector for silicone intraocular lens removal

Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, 1996
The lens bisector, designed to cut silicone intraocular lenses (IOLs) in the middle so they can be extracted through a 3.0 mm incision, consists of a disposable wire sling that can be pulled into a metal tube. After the IOL is moved into the anterior chamber, the sling is placed over its center and pulled completely into the tube, bisecting the lens ...

In Vitro Lens Studies: III. Lens Potential

American Journal of Ophthalmology, 1959
In a previous study certain dyes were ob served to produce subepithelial vacuolar changes and/or cytopathologic changes in the epithelium of rabbit lenses cultured in vitro. The basic dyes (methylene blue, thionin, toluidine blue) were cataractogenic, whereas the acidic dyes (indigo diand tetrasulfonates) studied were nontoxic.

The Lens Capsule and the Intraocular Lens-the ‘Moustache Lens’

European Journal of Implant and Refractive Surgery, 1989
The use of the capsular bag for fixation of intraocular lenses is described. In routine cases, the ‘moustache principle’ of lenses is easy, safe and guaranteed. The envelope technique, or intercapsular surgery, is described. In traumatic cases, the two-plane two-loop or four-loop lenses are advised as an adequate alternative.
