A multi directional dielectric lens approach for antennas used in industrial RADAR applications
S.328-331A multi directional dielectric lens approach for beam steering on the basis of an ellipsoidal antenna is presented in this paper. Good antenna characteristics allow a modification of the feeding device used for the desired beam steering in ...

TisIBP8, a fungal‐derived hyperactive ice‐binding protein, helps Caenorhabditis elegans survive dehydration. It localizes near cell membranes, reduces cell damage, and helps maintain membrane structure during drying. These results suggest that ice‐binding proteins can protect cells from dehydration stress as well as freezing stress.

Effect of terahertz irradiation on DNA damage repair in living cells
We investigated the effect of terahertz (THz) wave irradiation on DNA double‐strand break (DSB) repair in living cells. We found that THz irradiation enhanced DSB repair at specific frequencies, whereas heat treatment inhibited it, indicating that this effect is nonthermal and frequency‐specific.

A 3D-Printed Spherical Dual-Circular Polarized Luneburg Lens Antenna for Ku-Band
In this paper, we propose a novel three-dimensional-printed Luneburg lens for converting linear polarization to dual-circular polarization and successfully apply it in a multibeam antenna.

Analysis and Design of a Metamaterial Lens Antenna Using the Theory of Characteristic Modes
A new single-layer metamaterial lens antenna aimed to operate at 10 GHz is proposed in this paper. The lens antenna consists of twelve capacitively coupled unit cells distributed along a ring and illuminated by an open-ended circular waveguide with a ...

3D-Printed All-Metal Terahertz Multibeam Lens Antenna Based on Photonic Crystal
This paper presents a realization of a D- band multibeam lens antenna based on 3D printing. It extends all-metal Luneburg lens to terahertz band for the first time, and demonstrates the application potential of 3D-printed antenna in the associated ...

Optimizing photoexcitation conditions for time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering experiments
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering (TR‐XSS) is a powerful technique to visualize how proteins change their structure in real time after light activation. Selecting the right laser photoexcitation conditions—fluence, excitation geometry, and sample refresh rate—is critical to maximize the experimental signal while avoiding unwanted side effects ...
