Horizontal and anterior chamber diameter for phakic intraocular lens sizing
Clinical and Experimental Optometry, 2021Proper selection of phakic intraocular lens diameter is necessary to avoid complications related with excessive vaulting after its implantation.Horizontal corneal diameter, measured as white-to-white distance, is one of the parameters used for phakic intraocular lens diameter calculation.

Evaluation of the relationship between corneal diameter and lens diameter
Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, 2008To investigate the relationship between corneal diameter (white to white) (WTW) and the dimensions of the crystalline lens.Private practice, Cincinnati, Ohio, USA.Human cadaver eyes were oriented to allow caliper measurements of the horizontal and vertical corneal diameters (WTW).

Tear mixing under a soft contact lens: effects of lens diameter
American Journal of Ophthalmology, 1999Tear exchange under a soft contact lens is modest, and higher exchange rates may be necessary to reduce extended-wear complications; what is not known is the optimal soft lens design to increase tear mixing. We explored the effect of lens diameter on tear mixing.Twenty-three subjects wore four different soft contact lenses with diameters of 12.0, 12.5,

Treatment of corneal dellen with a large diameter soft contact lens
Contact Lens and Anterior Eye, 2011A 58-year-old man presented with corneal dellen twelve days after pterygium removal on his left eye. Initial treatment with lubrication and artificial tears was unsuccessful. The fitting of a conventional contact lens was not possible because of conjuctival chemosis. Additionally the patient denied eye patching due to professional reasons.
