A method to fabricate micro lens array with different diameters
2011 6th IEEE International Conference on Nano/Micro Engineered and Molecular Systems, 2011Micro lens arrays are applied to several areas, such as imaging reconstruction and organic light emitting diode light extraction. Researchers have studied on how to increase the efficiency of luminous current and luminous power of an organic light-emitting device (OLED) [1] by using several spheres with different diameters.

Pupil diameter changes and reaction after posterior chamber phakic intraocular lens implantation
Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, 2002To compare the different aspects of pupil constriction before and after the implantation of an implantable contact lens (ICL).Augenabteilung der Schlosspark-Klinik Berlin, Berlin, Germany. This study comprised 15 myopic and 9 hyperopic eyes that were evaluated before and after the implantation of an ICL using a compact integrated pupillograph (CIP ...

Experimental far-field imaging properties of a ~5-μm diameter spherical lens
Optics Letters, 2013Microscale lenses are mostly used as near-sighted lenses. The far-field imaging properties of a microscale spherical lens, where the lens is spatially separated from the object, are experimentally studied. Our experimental results show that, for a blu-ray disc (an object) whose spacing is 300 nm, the lens can magnify the stripe patterns of the disc ...

Water Flow Conductivity and Pore Diameter in Extended-Wear Gel Lens Materials
Optometry and Vision Science, 1978The water flow conductivity of 3 high-water-content (70 to 85%) gel materials proposed for extended-wear contact lenses was measured. Pore diameter was calculated from these flow conductivities. High-water-content gels were found to have pore diameters in the range of 20 to 30 A compared with about 8 A for the lower-water-content HEMA gel.

Optimisation of magnetic lens with pole-piece of finite inside diameter
Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, 1982The relation between the coefficients of spherical and chromatic aberration of round magnetic lenses and the flux distribution over a cylindrical surface that touches the pole-piece at some point is studied. The magnetic flux density distribution over the cylindrical surface is approximated by a polygonal line, and the successive approximation is used ...
