QoS Routing for LEO Satellite Networks
2013Since the population distribution on the earth surface is highly non-uniform, the traffic requirements are unbalanced in LEO (Low Earth Orbit) satellite networks, some ISLs(Inter-Satellite Link) of satellite networks are congested while others are underutilized.

Satellite constellations for a multiple LEO satellite network
Electronics and Communications in Japan (Part III: Fundamental Electronic Science), 1993AbstractRecently, research has been very active in communication networks that could service the entire globe by using multiple, low, earth‐orbiting satellites. This has been spurred on by progress in the field of digital communication technique, technical advances of satellite launching, and a decrease in the costs of small‐sized satellites. In this ...

Estimation of LEO satellite channels
Proceedings of ICICS, 1997 International Conference on Information, Communications and Signal Processing. Theme: Trends in Information Systems Engineering and Wireless Multimedia Communications (Cat. No.97TH8237), 2002In this paper, we propose a new channel estimation algorithm for low Earth orbit satellite digital communications. Low Earth orbit satellite channels impart severe spreading in delay and Doppler on the transmitted signal. We model the channel as a tapped-delay-line filter with time-varying complex coefficients.
