Smart Nanogels as Enzyme‐Driven Nanomotors for Navigating Viscous Physiological Barriers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 2, 5 January 2026.
Two families of urease‐powered nanomotors (NMs), with and without a p‐(2‐hydroxyethyl methacrylate) (p‐HEMA) shell, have been successfully prepared. Both types exhibit effective motion in highly viscous synovial fluid media at low urea concentrations (25 mM).

Engineered Plasmonic and Fluorescent Nanomaterials for Biosensing, Motion, Imaging, and Therapeutic Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 37, Issue 49, December 10, 2025.
A schematic illustration of how noble metals can be used to create nanoparticles (NPs) or nanoclusters (NCs). Noble metal NPs, due to their plasmonic properties, enable photothermal therapy and surface‐enhanced Raman scattering (SERS). In contrast, NCs, which lack a plasmonic resonance band, exhibit fluorescence, making them ideal for bioimaging ...

The influence of the curing conditions of concrete on durability after freeze-thaw accelerated testing

open access: yesMateriales de Construccion, 2015
This work relates the curing conditions of concrete with the damage caused by rapid freeze-thaw cycles (ASTM C 666). The “potential” durability of concrete after testing is also studied.

Dynamic Walking of a Legged Robot in Underwater Environments

open access: yesSensors, 2019
In this research, the dynamic walking of a legged robot in underwater environments is proposed. For this goal, the underwater zero moment point (Uzmp) is proposed in order to generate the trajectory of the centre of the mass of the robot.

Cross-domain urban and heritage point cloud benchmarks for semantic segmentation: insights from the 3M (Mapping Mappano Municipality) and ArCHX datasets [PDF]

open access: yesThe International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences
Semantic segmentation of 3D point clouds is a key enabler for intelligent urban analysis and cultural heritage documentation. However, current benchmarks remain uneven for different reasons: from the fragmented scenes of cityscape scenarios where a ...
