Drive Cycle‐Based Accelerated Stress Tests for Heavy Duty Fuel Cell Vehicle Applications

open access: yesFuel Cells, Volume 26, Issue 3, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Fuel cells in heavy‐duty vehicles are susceptible to degradation and are significantly influenced by driving patterns. Accelerated stress tests (ASTs) are useful to identify these degradation mechanisms and aid the development of degradation‐resistant control strategies for FC stacks.

Earthquake Rate Variability in the Auckland Volcanic Field Within a Long‐Duration Self‐Consistent Earthquake Catalogue

open access: yesNew Zealand Journal of Geology and Geophysics, Volume 69, Issue 2, June 2026.
Eruptions in the Auckland Volcanic Field in Aotearoa New Zealand have not occurred since seismic monitoring began in Aotearoa New Zealand, but it is generally presumed that future eruptions from the Auckland Volcanic Field will be preceded by elevated rates of seismicity.

Graph‐Theoretical Approach for Predicting Physicochemical Properties of Stiff‐Person Syndrome Drugs

open access: yesChemistryOpen, Volume 15, Issue 6, June 2026.
Graph‐theoretical descriptors derived from M‐polynomials are integrated with quantitative structure–property relationship modeling and machine learning to uncover structure–property relationships of drugs used in stiff‐person syndrome. Strong correlations between degree‐based topological indices and key physicochemical properties are revealed ...

A unique continuation property for $|\overline \partial u| \leq V |u|$

open access: yes
Let $u: \Omega \subset \mathbb C^n \to \mathbb C^m$, for $n \geq 2$ and $m \geq 1$. Let $1 \leq p \leq 2$, and $2(2n)^2 -1 \leq q < \infty$ such that $\displaystyle \frac{1}{p} + \frac{1}{p'} = 1$ and $\displaystyle \frac{1}{p} - \frac{1}{p'} = \frac{1 ...

Programming Nonlinear Interfacial Mechanics of Synthetic Cells: Lipid Geometry and DNA Nanostructures

open access: yesSmall Science, Volume 6, Issue 6, June 2026.
A physics‐based framework is developed to quantify the nonlinear interfacial mechanics of synthetic cells. By integrating micropipette aspiration experiments with analytical modeling, the study reveals how lipid geometry and DNA nanostructure dimensionality independently control in‐plane stretching and out‐of‐plane bending mechanics.

Symbolically Regressing Fish Biomass Spectral Data: A Linear Genetic Programming Method With Tunable Primitives

open access: yesJournal of the Royal Society of New Zealand, Volume 56, Issue 3, June 2026.
Machine learning techniques play an important role in analyzing spectral data. Fish biomass spectral data is useful in fish production as it carries key chemical properties of fish meat. However, it is challenging for existing machine learning techniques to comprehensively discover hidden patterns from fish biomass spectral data because the spectral ...
