Transitive $t$-designs and strongly regular graphs constructed from linear groups $L(2,q)$‎, ‎$q leq 23$ [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
‎In this paper we construct transitive $t$-designs from the linear groups $L(2,q)‎, ‎q leq 23$‎. ‎Thereby we classify $t$-designs‎, ‎$t ge 2$‎, ‎admitting a transitive action of the linear groups $L(2,q)‎, ‎q leq 23$‎, ‎up to 35 points and obtained ...

Adversarial Erasing Enhanced Multiple Instance Learning (siMILe): Discriminative Identification of Oligomeric Protein Structures in Single Molecule Localization Microscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Hallgrimson et al. introduce a machine learning algorithm, siMILe, that takes features of single‐molecule localization microscopy localization clusters (e.g., size and sphericity) and finds the clusters that are associated with certain cell conditions (such as differential protein expression or drug treatment).

Construction of spectral libraries of star-forming galaxies at $0.3\leq z \leq 2.5$

open access: yes, 2023
Spectral energy distribution (SED) models of galaxies at $0.3\leq z \leq 2.5$ were constructed to be processed by the Euclid spectroscopic channel simulator in order to investigate the \Euclid Near-Infrared Spectrometer and Photometer (NISP) capabilities.

i‐Tac: Inverse Design of 3D‐Printed Tactile Elastomers with Tuneable Optical and Mechanical Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Inspired by the multi‐tissue architecture of the human fingertip dermis (A), this work introduces a mixture design using three PolyJet materials (AC/TM/GM) to expand the achievable elastomer property space (B). An inverse design pipeline (i‐Tac) is developed to map target optical/mechanical requirements to optimal material compositions (C), enabling ...

Structural and magnetic properties of $Sr_2Fe_{1+x}Mo_{1-x}O_6\hspace{2mm}(–1 \leq x \leq 0.25)$

open access: yes, 2006
We have synthesized the solid solution $Sr_2Fe_1_+_xMo_1_-_xO_6$ with $–1 \leq x \leq 0.25$, the composition x=0 corresponding to the well-known double-perovskite system $Sr_2FeMoO_6$.

Nuclear Half-Lives for Alpha Radioactivity of Elements with 100 $\leq$ Z $\leq$ 130

open access: yes, 2008
Theoretical estimates for the half lives of about 1700 isotopes of heavy elements with Z from 100 to 130 are tabulated using theoretical Q-values. The quantum mechanical tunneling probabilities are calculated within a WKB framework using microscopic nuclear potentials.

Adaptive Macroscopic Ensemble Allocation for Robot Teams Monitoring Spatiotemporal Processes

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
We propose an online, environment feedback‐driven macroscopic ensemble approach to adapt robot team task allocation in spatiotemporal environments by controlling robot populations rather than assigning individual robots, all while maintaining robust team performance even for small teams. Our simulation and experimental results show better or comparable

The Synthesis, Structural Characterization and Superconductivity of $FeSe_x$ with $0.80 \leq x \leq 1.20$

open access: yesJournal of Atomic and Molecular Sciences, 2012
We have performed a detailed study on the synthesis, the characterization of structural phases and superconductivity of the binary FeSex system from the Fe-rich phase into the Se-rich phase with 0.80≤ x≤1.20. The results indicate that by long-time low- temperature annealing, single phase sample could be obtained near the composition of FeSe 0.95 with ...

“It Is Much Safer to Be Sparse than Connected”: Safe Control of Robotic Swarm Density Dynamics with PDE Optimization with State Constraints

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This paper proposes a novel control framework to ensure safety of a robotic swarm. A feedback optimization controller is capable of driving the swarm toward a target density while keeping risk‐zone exposure below a safety threshold. Theory and experiments show how safety is more effectively achieved for sparsely connected swarms.

Structural Changes Accompanying the Low-Temperature Annealing of $YBa_2Cu_3O_{7-\delta} (0.3 \leq \delta \leq 0.4)$: Transformation of the 123 Phase to a 124-Type Structure

open access: yes, 1993
Superconducting $YBa_2Cu_3O_{7-\delta} (0.3 \leq \delta \leq 0.4)$ compositions seem to transform to a metastable $YBa_2Cu_4O_8$ (124)-like phase with a c parameter of 27.2 Å on annealing at 473 K for a few ...
