The Potential for Pest Management Using Plant‐Derived Signaling Compounds

open access: yesEcological Research, Volume 41, Issue 5, September 2026.
Plant‐derived signaling compounds mediate ecological interactions among plants, herbivores, their natural enemies, and neighboring plants. This graphical summary highlights three approaches to leveraging such ecological interactions for environmentally benign pest management: (1) Recruitment of natural enemies: Using herbivory‐induced plant volatiles ...

Mask Roughness Induced LER in EUV Lithography [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
This dissertation presents a thorough investigation of how mask roughness induces speckle in the aerial image that leads to line-edge roughness (LER) effects in extreme ultraviolet lithography.

Patterns of Autonomous and Conditional Neural Specification for the Brain and Ventral Nerve Cord in Annelida

open access: yesEvolution &Development, Volume 28, Issue 3, September 2026.
Diagrams of blastomere isolations in Capitella teleta and Platynereis dumerilii showing autonomous head neural tissue (from 1q) and trunk neural tissue (from 2d) as well as a decoupling of D–V axis formation from trunk neural tissue in annelids. ABSTRACT Evolution of central nervous systems is a long‐debated topic.

«@Ler e a Ler» leituras para todos os gostos…

open access: yes, 2010
Como se faz um leitor? Ou melhor como se recupera um leitor e optimiza os que já sentem o apelo pela leitura? Estas questões são cruciais para qualquer professor ou para qualquer professor que desempenhe a função de Coordenador de uma Biblioteca Escolar.

Plasma Pharmacokinetic Profile of Fipronil 1% Pour‐On in Cattle: Photodegradation and the Sustained Systemic Persistence of Fipronil Sulfone

open access: yesJournal of Veterinary Pharmacology and Therapeutics, Volume 49, Issue 5, Page 515-524, September 2026.
ABSTRACT This study characterized the long‐term pharmacokinetic profile of a 1% fipronil pour‐on formulation in Nellore bulls under field conditions. Seventeen animals received a single topical dose (1 mg/kg), and plasma concentrations of fipronil and its metabolites (sulfone and desulfinyl) were monitored for 175 days using LC–MS/MS.

Ler Poulantzas

open access: yesCadernos Cemarx

Writing Big in Plant Genomes: Advances, Challenges and Strategies for Targeted Large‐Fragment DNA Insertion

open access: yesPlant, Cell &Environment, Volume 49, Issue 9, Page 6506-6520, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Precise genome editing has transformed plant biology and crop improvement by enabling targeted modification of endogenous loci. Beyond gene knockout and base editing, the site‐specific insertion of exogenous DNA, particularly large DNA fragments, has become a central goal for engineering complex traits, reconstructing metabolic pathways and ...

Structural and functional characterisation of a reconstructed ancestral strigolactone receptor

open access: yesThe Plant Journal, Volume 127, Issue 5, September 2026.
Significance Statement Ancestral sequence reconstruction of the strigolactone receptor DWARF14 (D14) reveals that its substrate specificity and signalling mechanism have remained largely conserved in seed plants. Ancestral D14 exhibits improved recombinant yields, thermostability and catalytic activity relative to D14 from Arabidopsis thaliana ...
