The Cotangent Function as an Avatar of the Polylogarithm Function of Order 0 and Ramanujan’s Formula

open access: yesAxioms
In this paper we will be concerned with zeta-symmetry—the functional equation for the (Riemann) zeta-function (equivalents to which are called modular relations)—and reveal the reason why so many results are intrinsic to PFE (Partial Fraction Expansion ...

Limiting Values and Functional and Difference Equations

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
Boundary behavior of a given important function or its limit values are essential in the whole spectrum of mathematics and science. We consider some tractable cases of limit values in which either a difference of two ingredients or a difference equation ...

Distinct Physiological Mechanisms Drive Grey Matter Plasticity in Complex Versus Simple Sequence Learning

open access: yesHuman Brain Mapping, Volume 47, Issue 8, June 1, 2026.
Ultra‐high field imaging provides evidence that complex MSL induces GM increases that are driven by synaptogenesis for initial encoding and myelogenesis for later learning, consolidation in left SPC. However, habituating to a simple repeated task leads to GM decreases in these regions, likely due to attenuated blood flow.

Generalizations of the Lerch zeta function. [PDF]

open access: yes
The Lerch zeta function is a three-variable generalization of the Riemann zeta function and the Hurwitz zeta function. In this thesis, we study generalizations and analogues of the Lerch zeta function. Our approaches proceed along three directions: local,

Partial Sums of Certain Classes of Meromorphic Functions Related to the Hurwitz-Lerch Zeta Function

open access: yesMoroccan Journal of Pure and Applied Analysis, 2015
In the present paper, we give sufficient conditions for a function f to be in the subclasses ΣS*a,s (A. B, α, β) and ΣKa,s (A, B, α, β) of the class Σ of meromorphic functions which are analytic in the punctured unit disk U*.

Diversity of Resilin Incidence in the Insect Leg

open access: yesJournal of Morphology, Volume 287, Issue 6, June 2026.
Resilin incidences in the insect cuticle are commonly detected by fluorescence microscopy using the property of Resilin protein matrices to emit blue light after excitation with UV light. This indirect method produces significant background signal.

Double Integral of Logarithmic and Quotient Rational Functions Expressed in Terms of the Lerch Function

open access: yes, 2021
In this manuscript, the authors derive a double integral whose kernel involves the logarithmic function a polynomial raised to a power and a quotient function expressed it in terms of the Lerch function.

Anomalous Sample Detection Tool and Its Application in Identifying Interbasin Groundwater Flow in the Yarlung Zangbo River Basin, Tibetan Plateau

open access: yesWater Resources Research, Volume 62, Issue 6, June 2026.
Abstract Interbasin groundwater flow (IGF) is increasingly recognized as an important but difficult‐to‐diagnose component of regional groundwater flow systems. Recent studies highlight that major rifts within the Yarlung Zangbo River Basin (YZRB) may facilitate IGF, but the role of all six major rifts remains unclear.

Value distribution theorems for the Lerch zeta-function.

open access: yes, 2019
The Lerch zeta-function defined, for sigma greater than 1, by the Dirichlet series and by analytic continuation elsewhere, is investigated. The main attention is devoted to the universality of the Lerch zeta-function i.e., to approximation of analytic ...

Distribution‐Guided Ensemble Postprocessing for S2S Precipitation Forecasts: A Seamless Pathway Using Deep Generative Models

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Machine Learning and Computation, Volume 3, Issue 3, June 2026.
Abstract Atmosphere‐ocean‐land coupled forecasting systems, despite their comprehensiveness, face substantial challenges in the “predictability desert” at subseasonal to seasonal (S2S) timescales, particularly for precipitation—a variable crucial for socioeconomic activities yet of stunning spatiotemporal variance. Post‐processing methods developed for
