ABSTRACT In this article, we explore the consequences of parents' trust and distrust of social workers in child welfare services. We collected data via qualitative surveys administered in 2022, to which 29 Finnish social workers responded. We used thematic analysis to identify the key themes of the consequences of trust in our data.

Incumbent‐Born B2B Platforms: Organizational Boundary Dynamics in Platform Creation
ABSTRACT This study examines the dynamics of organizational boundaries in B2B industry platform creation through an in‐depth single‐case study. Specifically, we address the question: How do B2B firms redefine their organizational boundaries when shifting from a pipeline model to an industry platform?

The Cotangent Function as an Avatar of the Polylogarithm Function of Order 0 and Ramanujan’s Formula
In this paper we will be concerned with zeta-symmetry—the functional equation for the (Riemann) zeta-function (equivalents to which are called modular relations)—and reveal the reason why so many results are intrinsic to PFE (Partial Fraction Expansion ...

The Impact of Migration on Age Structure Conducive to Human Development Across the Urban Hierarchy
Abstract A larger working‐age population supports economic and social development, and many developing countries are currently benefiting from this demographic window. However, internal migration—often age‐selective—can create subnational inequalities by redistributing working‐age individuals from less developed areas to cities in search of employment ...

Limiting Values and Functional and Difference Equations
Boundary behavior of a given important function or its limit values are essential in the whole spectrum of mathematics and science. We consider some tractable cases of limit values in which either a difference of two ingredients or a difference equation ...

The density function for the value-distribution of Lerch zeta-functions and its applications
The probabilistic study of the value-distribution of zeta-functions is one of the modern topics in analytic number theory. In this paper, we study a probability density function related to the value-distribution of Lerch zeta-functions.

From Expansion to Erosion: The Global Trajectory of Judicial Independence, 1960–2018
ABSTRACT Judicial independence expanded globally throughout the twentieth century, but this trajectory has recently come under pressure. In recent years, governments around the world have increasingly challenged judicial autonomy. This study unpacks this global reversal by analyzing data from 156 states between 1960 and 2018.
