Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Randomized Comparison of Sirolimus and Paclitaxel Drug-Eluting Stents for Long Lesions in the Left Anterior Descending Artery: an Intravascular Ultrasound Study [PDF]
The objective of this prospective randomized study was to verify whether the superiority of the sirolimus-eluting stent (SES) in inhibiting neointimal hyperplasia could be demonstrated in complex coronary lesions. The SES was compared with the paclitaxel-

Past tense in children with focal brain lesions [PDF]
In this study, 22 children with early left hemisphere (LHD) or right hemisphere (RHD) focal brain lesions (FL, n ¼ 14 LHD, n ¼ 8 RHD) were administered an English past tense elicitation test (M ¼ 6:5 years).

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Analysis of the contour structural irregularity of skin lesions using wavelet decomposition [PDF]
The boundary irregularity of skin lesions is of clinical significance for the early detection of malignant melanomas and to distinguish them from other lesions such as benign moles. The structural components of the contour are of particular importance.

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...
