Different Treatments for Breaking Dormancy of Leucaena Seeds (Leucaena leucocephala)

open access: yesJournal of Agricultural Science, 2017
The objective of the study was to evaluate the influence of methods for breaking dormancy the seeds of tropical forage legume Leucaena leucocephala (Lam.). The seed treatments were: (T1) water at 100 ºC/10 min; (T2) water at 100 ºC/1 min; (T3) Acetone (10 min); (T4) Ethyl alcohol (10 minutes); and (T5) intact seeds (control). Data were analyzed using a

A Highly Stable Zinc‐Mimosinate Metal–Organic Framework for Controlled Agrochemical Delivery

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, Volume 29, Issue 11, 15 April 2026.
The graphical abstract illustrates the design of metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) as agrochemicals constructed from active building blocks. The highly robust GR‐MOF‐25 is assembled from the natural herbicide L‐mimosine and Zn2+ ions, combining herbicidal, micronutrient, and antibacterial properties.

Seed germination ecology of leucaena (Leucaena leucocephala) as influenced by various environmental parameters

open access: yesWeed Science, 2022
AbstractLeucaena [Leucaena leucocephala (Lam.) de Wit] is a perennial weed in more than 25 countries, including Australia. Knowledge regarding the seed biology of L. leucocephala could help in making weed management decisions. Experiments were conducted to study the effect of hot water (scarification), alternating temperatures, heat stress, salt stress,

Pollen Exposed to Aerial Pesticide Spray Is a Major Exposure Pathway for Stingless Bees

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 4, April 2026.
We conducted a molecular ecology experiment to determine foraging of stingless bees and potential exposure routes for aerially applied pesticides. We found that 27% of forager bees brought back Bti to the hive, and that this is a major route for pesticide exposure.

Agronomic Traits, Physiological Parameters, Chemical Composition, and In Vitro Digestibility of Urochloa Brizantha Cv. Piatã, Megathyrsus Maximus Cv. Zuri and Megathyrsus Maximus Cv. Tamani in Silvopastoral Systems

open access: yesNew Zealand Journal of Agricultural Research, Volume 69, Issue 2, April 2026.
Urochloa species are widely used in silvopastoral systems (SPS), but production losses highlight the need for more productive forages. This study evaluated agronomic, physiological, chemical composition, and in vitro digestibility responses of Urochloa brizantha cv. Piatã and Megathyrsus maximus cvs.
