A redetermination of 2-(6-diethylamino-3-diethyliminio-3H-xanthen-9-yl)benzoate–ethyl gallate (1/1) at room temperature

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E, 2009
The title compound, C28H30N2O3·C9H10O5, is a well known red leuco complex of 2-(6-diethylamino-3-diethyliminio-3H-xanthene-9-yl)benzoate (rhodamine B base abbreviated to RBB: leuco dye) with ethyl gallate (EG: developer).

Design and Synthesis of Red-Absorbing Fluoran Leuco Dyes Supported by Computational Screening. [PDF]

open access: yesACS Omega
We report here on the design and synthesis of red-absorbing fluoran leuco dyes (LD). An essential part of the present dye development process is a computational screening of the candidate molecules, which allows for both time-efficient and accurate in silico characterization of the dyes.

Optically Controlled Thermochromic Switching for Multi-Input Molecular Logic

open access: yes, 2022
Leuco dye-based thermochromic materials offer enormous potential for visible molecular logic due to the appealing reversible color-changing effect. The stable color state is uncontrollable as it depends only on the spontaneous protonation of the leuco ...

Solvents interactions with thermochromic print

open access: yesJournal of Graphic Engineering and Design, 2017
In this study, the interactions between different solvents (benzene, acetone, cyclohexanone, various alcohols and water) and thermochromic printing ink were investigated. Thermochromic printing ink was printed on metal surface.

On the Apparent Solubility of Leuco Compounds of Sulfur Dyes

open access: yesThe Journal of the Society of Chemical Industry, Japan, 1960
