[Acute erythroblastic leukemia presenting as FAB M6 with surface marker positive for megakaryocytic and erythroid: report of a case].

[Rinsho ketsueki] The Japanese journal of clinical hematology, 1994
A fifty five-year-old male presenting as FAB M6 had blasts that were positive both for erythroblastic and megakaryocytic surface makers, i.e., carbonic anhydrase I, CD36 and CD41. HLA-DR and cD71 were also positive. In a very small portion, CD33 and glycophorin A were also positive.

Kinetic behavior of 'pathological' myeloblasts and 'normal' erythroblasts in acute granulocytic leukemia. Analysis of in vitro studies in 20 patients.

Oncology, 1983
Kinetic studies of leukemic blast cells (LBC) and erythroblasts were carried out in 20 cases of acute myeloblastic leukemia (AML), and the results were compared with those observed in dividing granulocytic precursors (DGP) and erythroblasts in a control group of 16 normal subjects.

First case of bacteremia due to chromosome-encoded CfxA3-beta-lactamase-producing Capnocytophaga sputigena in a pediatric patient with acute erythroblastic leukemia.

European journal of medical research, 2008
Bacteremia due to Capnocytophaga sputigena occurred in a 4-year and 9-month-old Japanese girl patient with acute erythroblastic leukemia in Shinshu University Hospital, Japan. On her admission to the hospital, she had a temperature of 38.2 degrees C with canker sore.

Do de novo acute myeloid leukemias with normal cytogenetics involve two main prognostic categories distinguished by the presence of erythroblastic and/or megakaryocytic dysplasia?

Neoplasma, 2000
De novo acute myeloid leukemias (AML) patients with normal cytogenetics represent a standard risk cytogenetic group. Erythroblastic and/or megakaryocytic dysplasia (EMD) in diagnostic bone marrow smears of 28 consecutive AML patients with a normal karyotype was studied.

[Poor response in patients with de novo acute myeloid leukemia and erythroblastic or megakaryocytic dysplasia to treatment with standard doses of cytosine arabinoside and daunorubicin].

Vnitrni lekarstvi, 2000
Erythroid and/or megakaryocytic dysplasia (EMD) was evaluated in diagnostic bone marrow smears of 37 consecutively treated cases with de novo acute myeloid leukemia (AML) M0-M2 and M4-M5 types and three newly diagnosed cases of refractory anaemia with excess of blasts in transformation.

[Patients older than 80 years with de novo acute myeloid leukemias without erythroblastic and/or megakaryocytic dysplasia achieve complete remission and longer survival after classical chemotherapy 3 + 7].

Vnitrni lekarstvi, 2010
Chemotherapy in most patients with AML over 80 years of age is not recommended because their median survival is about 1 month. The aim of our study was to identify patients in this age group who might achieve complete remission with standard dose chemotherapy. We report 9 consecutive patients with de novo AML diagnosed and treated in 1992-2008.
