Impact of killer-immunoglobulin-like receptor and human leukocyte antigen genotypes on the efficacy of immunotherapy in acute myeloid leukemia [PDF]
Interactions between killer-immunoglobulin-like receptors (KIRs) and their HLA class I ligands are instrumental in natural killer (NK) cell regulation and protect normal tissue from NK cell attack.

This review highlights recent advances in engineering artificial antigen‐presenting cells (aAPCs) as alternatives to dendritic cells for T cell expansion. Key design principles inspired by the immunological synapse are discussed, with emphasis on strategies for polyclonal and antigen‐specific T cell expansion.

Clinical implications of discordant early molecular responses in CML patients treated with imatinib [PDF]
A reduction in BCR-ABL1/ABL1IS transcript levels to <10% after 3 months or <1% after 6 months of tyrosine kinase inhibitor therapy are associated with superior clinical outcomes in chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) patients.

CLDN18.2 CAR‐T cell‐derived small extracellular vesicles (CAR‐sEVs) display potent cytotoxicity and prolong survival in preclinical pancreatic cancer models. They contain functional CAR proteins and granzyme B, exhibit antigen specificity, and effectively target tumor cells while sparing healthy cells.

Chronic myeloid leukemia in Asia
Chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) in Asia has an incidence rather lower than in Western countries yet tends to afflict a younger population. As in the West, imatinib mesylate (IM, Glivec) has supplanted busulphan, hydroxyurea and interferon-alpha as first-line treatment.

Effect of Nanoparticle Rigidity on the Interaction of Stromal Membrane Particles with Leukemia Cells
Cell membrane nanoparticles made with stromal cells are prepared and used to target leukemia cells. Deposition of the cell membrane onto rigid silica cores leads to increased uptake both in leukemia cell lines and primary cells from patients. These results show that nanoparticle rigidity affects the interaction between cell membrane nanoparticles and ...

Hispidulin disrupts the KITENIN/ErbB4 oncogenic complex and inhibits KITENIN‐mediated AP‐1 activity, cell invasion, and aerobic glycolysis. It also suppresses the production of cancer‐associated metabolites and downregulates transcriptional regulators downstream of the KITENIN complex.
