Penetrating Keratoplasty for Adherent Leukoma of Smallpox

Thirty-eight of 43 penetrating corneal grafts performed to correct leukoma caused by smallpox remained clear. Thirty-five patients attained visual acuities of 6/24 (20/80) or better despite preoperative visual acuities of finger counting or worse.
