Spectral Calibration for TEMPO (Tropospheric Emissions: Monitoring of Pollution): Algorithm Description and Trending of Spectral Performance

open access: yesEarth and Space Science, Volume 13, Issue 2, February 2026.
Abstract The Tropospheric Emissions: Monitoring of Pollution (TEMPO) instrument provides continuous, high‐resolution observations of atmospheric pollutants over North America from geostationary orbit. This study introduces an on‐orbit spectral calibration algorithm implemented in the TEMPO Version 3 Level 0–1 processor, covering both operational ...

SMART ANTENNA ADAPTIVE BEAM FORMING BASE ON NEURAL NETWORK WITH DIFFERENT TRAINING ALGORITHIMS

open access: yesJournal of Engineering and Sustainable Development, 2016
In this paper, an artificial Feed Forward Neural Network(FFNN) is used for smart antenna adaptive beamforming. Neural network is used to calculate the optimum weights that adapt the radiation pattern of the antenna by directing multiple narrow beams ...

Obscuration of Crystalline Ca‐Sulfate in XRD and Raman Data When Coated by Amorphous Ferric Sulfate: Implications for the Amorphous Components at Gale Crater

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Planets, Volume 131, Issue 2, February 2026.
Abstract Throughout Gale crater on Mars, the Curiosity rover has found high abundances (15–73 wt%) of X‐ray amorphous materials in the rocks and sediments. The composition of this amorphous fraction is primarily calculated by subtracting crystalline abundances measured by the Chemistry & Mineralogy X‐Ray Diffractometer (CheMin) from bulk elemental ...

Ensemble Methods for History Matching and Uncertainty Quantification With a Watershed Model

open access: yesJAWRA Journal of the American Water Resources Association, Volume 62, Issue 1, February 2026.
ABSTRACT History matching of large hydrologic models is challenging due to data sparsity and non‐unique process combinations (and associated parameters) that can produce similar model predictions. We develop an ensemble‐based history matching (and uncertainty quantification) approach using an iterative ensemble smoother (iES) method for three cutouts ...

Neuron count impact on NNTS-based energy management in hybrid-powered renewable microgrids

open access: yesJournal of Engineering and Applied Science
Efficient energy-storage management is critical for enhancing the reliability and sustainability of hybrid microgrid systems. This study examines the influence of neuron number in a Neural Network Time Series (NNTS) model on prediction quality and ...

Abnormally Large Magma Flux Does Not Lead to Eruption in Subduction Zone Calderas: The 2022–2023 Episode of Uplift of Aniakchak Crater (Aleutians)

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 2, 28 January 2026.
Abstract Observations of ground deformation provide insights on the triggering mechanisms of eruptions. At Aniakchak Crater (Aleutians) InSAR measured ∼ ${\sim} $72 cm of uplift in less than 7 months between 2022 and 2023. The uplift can be explained by the inflation of a point pressure source at a depth of 3.2 km.
