Congruency and typicality effects in lexical decision

open access: yes, 2012
This thesis describes basic research into visual word recognition and decision making. Determining the best matching lexical representation for a given stimulus involves interactions between representations. The standard task for studying these processes is the lexical decision task (LDT), but there is still debate regarding the factors that affect how

Anaemia in patients with heart failure and mildly reduced or preserved ejection fraction: A prespecified analysis of the FINEARTS‐HF trial

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Heart Failure, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aims Anaemia is common in heart failure with mildly reduced or preserved ejection fraction (HFmrEF/HFpEF) and associated with poor clinical outcomes. While renin–angiotensin system blockers reduce haemoglobin, little is known about the effect of mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists on haemoglobin and in patients with anaemia.

Effects of finerenone on natriuretic peptide levels in heart failure with mildly reduced or preserved ejection fraction: The FINEARTS‐HF trial

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Heart Failure, EarlyView.
Abstract Aims N‐terminal pro‐B‐type natriuretic peptide (NT‐proBNP) concentrations serve as markers of prognosis and therapeutic response in patients with heart failure (HF). The effect of the non‐steroidal mineralocorticoid receptor antagonist finerenone on NT‐proBNP in patients with HF with mildly reduced or preserved ejection fraction (HFmrEF/HFpEF)

Safety and tolerability of a 5 mg starting dose of vericiguat among patients with heart failure: The VELOCITY study

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Heart Failure, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aims In clinical practice, simplifying the number of medication titration steps while maintaining safety may improve the likelihood of patients with heart failure (HF) achieving target doses of guideline‐directed medical therapy (GDMT).

Cardiac resynchronization therapy for enabling guideline‐directed medical therapy optimization in heart failure

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Heart Failure, EarlyView.
Cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) as an enabler for guideline‐directed medical therapy (GDMT) in the Swedish Heart Failure Registry (SwedeHF). The figure summarizes the selection of the study population, changes in GDMTs and loop diuretic use/doses from baseline to 1.5‐year follow‐up in patients receiving versus not receiving CRT, and reports the
