Relation-dependent Contrastive Learning with Cluster Sampling for Inductive Relation Prediction [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
Relation prediction is a task designed for knowledge graph completion which aims to predict missing relationships between entities. Recent subgraph-based models for inductive relation prediction have received increasing attention, which can predict relation for unseen entities based on the extracted subgraph surrounding the candidate triplet.

A universally valid Heisenberg uncertainty relation [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Rev. A 85, 062117 (2012), 2012
A universally valid Heisenberg uncertainty relation is proposed by combining the universally valid error-disturbance uncertainty relation of Ozawa with the relation of Robertson. This form of the uncertainty relation, which is defined with the same mathematical rigor as the relations of Kennard and Robertson, incorporates both of the intrinsic quantum ...

A Semantic Priming Event-related Potential (ERP) Task to Study Lexico-semantic and Visuo-semantic Processing in Autism Spectrum Disorder [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Visualized Experiments, 2018
Individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) have characteristic deficits in understanding the meaning of language, or semantic processing. However, some evidence indicates that semantic processing of non-linguistic stimuli is intact, suggesting that semantic deficits may be language-specific.

Literacy in the Time of Artificial Intelligence

open access: yesReading Research Quarterly, Volume 60, Issue 1, January/February/March 2025.
Down the Rabbit Hole of Generative AI (Image Generated by the Authors in Midjourney) Abstract The latest mutation of Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, is more than anything a technology of writing. It is a machine that can write. In a world‐historical frame, the significance of this cannot be understated.

GOOD WISHING IN RUSSIA AND CHINA: LINGUISTIC POINT OF VIEW

open access: yesВестник Кемеровского государственного университета, 2017
The subject of this study is the forms of realization of the concept of “good wishing” in Russia and China, which occupies an important place in the spiritual culture of society, as it regulates the relationships between people within the accepted social

Expanding WordNet with Gloss and Polysemy Links for Evocation Strength Recognition

open access: yesCognitive Studies | Études cognitives, 2020
Expanding WordNet with Gloss and Polysemy Links for Evocation Strength Recognition Evocation – a phenomenon of sense associations going beyond standard (lexico)-semantic relations – is difficult to recognise for natural language processing systems ...

On Primary Relations at Tree-level in String Theory and Field Theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
By the use of cyclic symmetry, KK relations and BCJ relations, one can reduce the number of independent $N$-point color-ordered tree amplitudes in gauge theory and string theory from $N!$ to $(N-3)!$. In this paper, we investigate these relations at tree-level in both string theory and field theory.

Functional magnetic resonance imaging of neural activity related to orthographic, phonological, and lexico‐semantic judgments of visually presented characters and words

open access: yesHuman Brain Mapping, 1999
Functional magnetic resonance imaging was used to investigate neural activity during the judgment of visual stimuli in two groups of experiments using seven and five normal subjects. The subjects were given tasks designed differentially to involve orthographic (more generally, visual form), phonological, and lexico-semantic processes.

Trends in Mutual Transpositions of Lexical and Grammatical Noun Categories in Russian Language

open access: yesSAGE Open
This study addresses the gap in understanding the lexico-grammatical-structural types of nouns, particularly how lexico-semantic variants gain new connotations during transposition.

Learning Relation Ties with a Force-Directed Graph in Distant Supervised Relation Extraction [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
Relation ties, defined as the correlation and mutual exclusion between different relations, are critical for distant supervised relation extraction. Existing approaches model this property by greedily learning local dependencies. However, they are essentially limited by failing to capture the global topology structure of relation ties.
