Parameterised Enumeration for Modification Problems

open access: yesAlgorithms, 2019
Recently, Creignou et al. (Theory Comput. Syst. 2017), introduced the class DelayFPT into parameterised complexity theory in order to capture the notion of efficiently solvable parameterised enumeration problems. In this paper, we propose a framework for

Kontroversen um die lexikographische Theorie [PDF]

open access: yesBeiträge zur Allgemeinen und Vergleichenden Sprachwissenschaft, 2019
Discussions on the status and nature of lexicography have been ongoing since at least the 1960s. Some of the most frequently discussed issues concern lexicographical theory, including its very existence, which some scholars find problematic. And if it is

Admissibility and event-rationality [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We develop an approach to providing epistemic conditions for admissible behavior in games. Instead of using lexicographic beliefs to capture infinitely less likely conjectures, we postulate that players use tie-breaking sets to help decide among ...

Special Field and Subject Field Lexicography Contributing to Lexicography

open access: yesLexikos, 2020
Restricted dictionaries are fully-fledged dictionaries and their contribution to lexicography should never be underestimated. Because restricted dictionaries often are neglected in lexicographic discussions this article emphasises the significance of ...

An overview of lexicographic choice under uncertainty [PDF]

open access: yes, 1989
This overview focuses on lexicographic choice under conditions of uncertainty. First, lexicographic versions of traditional (von Neumann-Morgenstern) expected utility theory are described where the usual Archimedean axiom is weakened.

On Tight Tree‐Complete Hypergraph Ramsey Numbers

open access: yesJournal of Graph Theory, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Chvátal showed that for any tree T $T$ with k $k$ edges, the Ramsey number R ( T , n ) = k ( n − 1 ) + 1 $R(T,n)=k(n-1)+1$. For r = 3 $r=3$ or 4, we show that, if T $T$ is an r $r$‐uniform nontrivial tight tree, then the hypergraph Ramsey number R ( T , n ) = Θ ( n r − 1 ) $R(T,n)={\rm{\Theta }}({n}^{r-1})$.
