Bilinguals' metacognition is affected by the language used as a medium of education

However, bilinguals do not represent a homogeneous population, and we don't know which aspects of bilingualism lead to metacognitive advantage. Slow oscillation‐spindle cross‐frequency coupling predicts overnight declarative memory consolidation in older adults

We examined slow oscillation‐to‐spindle coupling in 25 older adults during sleep after a learning task relative to a baseline. Slow spindle power coupled closer to the slow oscillation up‐state after learning predicted better memory consolidation.
