Slow oscillation‐spindle cross‐frequency coupling predicts overnight declarative memory consolidation in older adults

We examined slow oscillation‐to‐spindle coupling in 25 older adults during sleep after a learning task relative to a baseline. Slow spindle power coupled closer to the slow oscillation up‐state after learning predicted better memory consolidation.
