LH

Proceedings of the 1993 ACM SIGMOD international conference on Management of data, 1993
LH* generalizes Linear Hashing to parallel or distributed RAM and disk files. An LH* file can be created from objects provided by any number of distributed and autonomous clients. It can grow gracefully, one bucket at a time, to virtually any number of servers. The number of messages per insertion is one in general, and three in the worst case.

Temporal relationship of the prolactin‐dependent LH‐induced LH receptor to the LH stimulus

Journal of Cellular Physiology, 1988
AbstractThe time course for LH induction of luteinizing hormone (LH) receptors as reflected in binding of 125l‐labeled hCG was investigated in hypophysecto‐mized adult male rats. A low dose of oLH (10 μg) was administered to hypophysectomized adult male rats following pretreatments with prolactin, follicle‐stimulating hormone (FSH), growth hormone (GH),

LH Response to LH-RH Neonatally Estrogenized Male Rats

Andrologia, 2009
The LH response to 100 or 1000 ng of LH-RH was studied in adult male rats treated neonatally with 500 micrograms of estradiol benzoate or olive oil. The dose of 100 ng elicited the same LH increase in both groups, but the estrogenized animals responded more when 1000 ng of LH-RH was injected.

Evaluation of LH*LH for a Multicomputer Architecture

1999
Scalable, distributed data structures can provide fast access to large volumes of data. In this paper, we present a simulation study in which the performance behaviour of one of these data structures, called LH*LH, is evaluated for a multicomputer architecture.

LH Insensitivity Syndrome

1999
In this chapter the syndrome of luteinizing hormone (LH) insensitivity or LH resistance is discussed, and the LH receptor gene mutations underlying this syndrome are described. First, an introduction is given of the physiological functions of LH and human chorion gonadotropin (hCG) during prenatal sex differentiation, puberty, and in the adult state ...

LH*RS

Proceedings of the 2000 ACM SIGMOD international conference on Management of data, 2000
LH* RS is a new high-availability Scalable Distributed Data Structure (SDDS). The data storage scheme and the search performance of LH* RS are basically these of LH*. LH* RS manages in addition the parity information to tolerate the unavailability of k ⪈ 1 server sites.

Clinical Comparison of Natural LH-RH, Synthetic LH-RH, and Two Analogues of LH-RH

The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism, 1974
ABSTRACT Two analogues of LH-RH as well as pure, natural LH-RH were compared with synthetic LH-RH in normal men. The 9-ethylamide LH-RH caused increments in plasma levels of LH and FSH comparable to those caused by synthetic LH-RH given at double the dose level.

LH-RH Stimulated LH Secretion in Human Endocrine Disease

Acta Endocrinologica, 1985
The application of LH-RH provides means to describe the functional state of the hypothalamo-pituitary-gonadal axis and has helped to understand the regulation of gonadotropin secretion both under normal and pathological circumstances. At present, diagnostic LH-RH application appears to be most useful in patients with delayed puberty, where a biphasic ...

Fast LH*

2013 25th International Symposium on Computer Architecture and High Performance Computing, 2013
Linear Hashing is a widely used and efficient version of extensible hashing. A distributed version of Linear Hashing is LH* that stores key-indexed records on up to hundreds of thousands of sites in a distributed system. LH* implements the dictionary data structure efficiently since it does not use a central component for the key-based operations of ...

MOLDMAX LH

Alloy Digest, 2013
Abstract MoldMAX LH (Low Hard) is a copper beryllium mold alloy that provides hardness and strength comparable to standard AISI P-20 tool steel and a thermal conductivity five times higher. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness ...
