Penetration And Scattering Of Lower Hybrid Waves By Density Fluctuations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Lower Hybrid [LH] ray propagation in toroidal plasma is controlled by a combination of the azimuthal spectrum launched from the antenna, the poloidal variation of the magnetic field, and the scattering of the waves by the density fluctuations.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Microglial dynamics and ferroptosis induction in human iPSC‐derived neuron–astrocyte–microglia tri‐cultures

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
A tri‐culture of iPSC‐derived neurons, astrocytes, and microglia treated with ferroptosis inducers as an Induced ferroptosis model was characterized by scRNA‐seq, cell survival, and cytokine release assays. This analysis revealed diverse microglial transcriptomic changes, indicating that the system captures key aspects of the complex cellular ...

Little Higgs model effects in $\gamma \gamma \to \gamma \gamma$ [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Though the predictions of the Standard Model (SM) are in excellent agreement with experiments there are still several theoretical problems associated with the Higgs sector of the SM, where it is widely believed that some ``{\it new physics}'' will take ...

Protective effect of vitamin D on Luteinizing Hormone (LH), Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH), testosterone hormones and testicular tissue changes induced by methotrexate in adult male rats

open access: yesمجله دانشگاه علوم پزشکی بیرجند, 2022
Background and Aims: Vitamin D has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities. The present study aimed to investigate the protective effect of vitamin D on Luteinizing Hormone (LH), Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH), testosterone hormones and ...

Multi‐omics and low‐input proteomics profiling reveals dynamic regulation driving pluripotency initiation in early mouse embryos

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Mouse pre‐implantation development involves a transition from totipotency to pluripotency. Integrating transcriptomics, epigenetic profiling, low‐input proteomics and functional assays, we show that eight‐cell embryos retain residual totipotency features, whereas cytoskeletal remodeling regulated by the ubiquitin‐proteasome system drives progression ...

Nonlinear wave interactions in quantum magnetoplasmas [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Nonlinear interactions involving electrostatic upper-hybrid (UH), ion-cyclotron (IC), lower-hybrid (LH), and Alfven waves in quantum magnetoplasmas are considered.

The effect of LH-RH administration on LH release in the female rabbit [PDF]

open access: yesReproduction, 1979
Summary. Intracarotid infusion of LH-RH to female rabbits stimulated a significant increase in plasma LH concentration in the jugular vein. This response varied with the reproductive state of the animal, with a greater release occurring in oestrous (spontaneous or oestrogen-induced) and non-receptive does than in pseudopregnant or ovariectomized ...

Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.

Stress rapidly suppresses in vivo LH pulses and increases activation of RFRP-3 neurons in male mice [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Restraint stress is a psychosocial stressor that suppresses reproductive status, including LH pulsatile secretion, but the neuroendocrine mechanisms underlying this inhibition remains unclear.
