Library History, 1980IT IS HARD to imagine a more congenial setting for a conference on library history than the Herzog August Bibliothek in Wolfenbiittel. This little town, full of half-timbered houses, retains many memorials of its time as the principal seat of the Dukes of Brunswick-Liineburg; and the most remarkable of them is the library.
