DNA replication licensing factor
1996DNA Replication Licensing Factor (RLF) is an essential activity required to restrict the duplication of genomic DNA to precisely once per cell cycle. Recent fractionation of RLF activity from Xenopus egg extracts has resulted in the identification of two essential components, RLF-B and RLF-M. RLF-M has been purified to homogeneity and has been shown to

?Off-license? use of recombinant activated factor VII
Blood Reviews, 2004Recombinant factor VIIa (rFVIIa) has been widely used in the treatment of bleeding episodes in haemophiliac patients with inhibitors. In haemostatic circles it has also been assessed in reversing oral anticoagulant therapy. Over the last few years, it has been used "off-label" in patients with uncontrolled bleeding due to haemostatic abnormalities due ...

Platelet-derived transcription factors license human monocyte inflammation
2022ABSTRACTCD14+monocytes, the predominant population in human blood, are primarily engaged in host defense and pro-inflammatory cytokine responses. Aberrant monocyte activity causes life-threatening cytokine storms, while dysfunctional monocytes lead to ’immunoparalysis.’ Understanding the mechanisms controlling monocyte functions is therefore paramount.

Time Factors of Patent Litigation and Licensing
Journal of Institutional and Theoretical Economics, 2003This study incorporates the concept of time into an analysis of patent litigation and licensing. We show that increasing imitation or litigation costs with a longer imitation lag or litigation time may have effects on licensing, settlement, and fees other than increasing the pecuniary costs.

Production Processes of Licensed Recombinant Factor VIII Preparations
Seminars in Thrombosis and Hemostasis, 2001The state-of-the-art treatment for hemophilia A is replacement therapy with recombinant factor VIII (rFVIII) made possible by genetic engineering advances. Currently, there are four different products licensed and available for hemophilia A patients.

Chromatin Fractionation Analysis of Licensing Factors in Mammalian Cells
2014ORC, Cdc6, Cdt1, and MCM2-7 are replication-licensing factors, which play a central role in the once-per-cell cycle control of DNA replication. ORC, Cdc6, and Cdt1 collaborate to load MCM2-7 onto replication origins in order to license them for replication.

Dynamic matrisome: ECM remodeling factors licensing cancer progression and metastasis
Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Reviews on Cancer, 2018The main cause of cancer-related mortality, metastasis, is a complex, multi-step process. The extracellular matrix (ECM) component of solid tumors has been implicated in metastatic progression; however, the ECM exists as a complex macromolecular substrate and it is unclear how its molecular composition promotes cancer progression.

Factors Associated with Declining Hunting License Sales in Alabama
Human Dimensions of Wildlife, 2003This article documents the magnitude of and factors associated with declining hunting license sales in Alabama. Respondents were classified as active hunters, former hunters, or nonhunters. Active hunters were relatively satisfied with their recent hunting experiences and the wildlife management programs conducted by the state.
