Experimental determination of the lidar overlap profile with Raman lidar

Applied Optics, 2002
The range-dependent overlap between the laser beam and the receiver field of view of a lidar can be determined experimentally if a pure molecular backscatter signal is measured in addition to the usually observed elastic backscatter signal, which consists of a molecular component and a particle component.

An aerosol lidar model program used for the Center for Lidar and Atmospheric Sciences Students lidar system

IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2003
A portable, eyesafe, 3-D scanning aerosol lidar system designed and operated by the Hampton University Center for Lidar and Atmospheric Sciences Students (CLASS) is introduced. A mathematical lidar model program wrote using MathCAD software being developed and used by the student lidar team in CLASS is presented.

CMOS photosensors for LIDAR

2018 IEEE Nordic Circuits and Systems Conference (NORCAS): NORCHIP and International Symposium of System-on-Chip (SoC), 2018
In this paper photosensors for CMOS LIDAR intended for non-invasive biosensing are presented. Adequate depth resolution requires high-speed sampling and high-speed photosensors, hard to make in standard CMOS. In this paper CMOS photodiodes are evaluated with respect to speed and sensitivity designed for use in a single-chip LIDAR system.

Hava LiDAR Teknikleri: Lineer LiDAR ve Foton Sayma LiDAR

2022
LiDAR tekniklerindeki gelişmeler, hava platformlarından arazi topoğrafyası ölçmelerinde geleneksel lineer-mode LiDAR (LML) yöntemine alternatif olarak, Geiger-mode LiDAR (GML) ve tekli-foton LiDAR (Single-Photon LiDAR) yöntemlerini ortaya çıkarmıştır.

An abstraction of the Lidar measurements

2015 IEEE 10th Jubilee International Symposium on Applied Computational Intelligence and Informatics, 2015
The laser scanner seems to be one of the favorite sensors used in mobile robots (autonomous car) localization. The Lidar is similar to the radar except radio signals are substituted with laser beams. Measurements are a collection of n lengths obtained for different firing angles. The paper presents an abstraction of this collection.

Lidar calibration experiments

Applied Physics B: Lasers and Optics, 1997
A series of atmospheric aerosol diffusion experiments combined with lidar detection was conducted to evaluate and calibrate an existing retrieval algorithm for aerosol backscatter lidar systems. The calibration experiments made use of two (almost) identical mini-lidar systems for aerosol cloud detection to test the reproducibility and uncertainty of ...

Multiple scattering lidar

Applied Optics, 1990
We report on lidar backscatter measurements made at four fields of view simultaneously. The results indicate clearly that multiple scattering is measurable and can yield pertinent additional data on the aerosol properties.

Fourier-transform lidar

Optics Letters, 1995
We propose a new method based on the differential absorption lidar technique for multipollutant detection. A broadband laser is sent into the atmosphere in a wavelength range in which several pollutants absorb. The backscattered light is analyzed by a Fourier-transform spectrometer with time resolution.
