Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Jurisprudential analysis of the mafia game; Emphasizing the elements of lies, deception and the nature of play [PDF]

open access: yesپژوهش‌های فقهی مسائل مستحدثه
Mafia game; Emerging and pervasive entertainment among Muslim youth. Since in this game, the approach of the mafia members is to lie and deceive the citizens of the game, the jurisprudential evidence of banning falsehood (lying as a joke) has attracted ...

P300 as a correlate of false beliefs and false statements

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, 2023
Introduction This study investigates P300 as a component for false belief and false statement processing with and without a communicative context. The purpose is to understand why P300 has been shown to be commonly involved in false belief and lie ...

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Weak Lie symmetry and extended Lie algebra [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Physics, 2013
The concept of weak Lie motion (weak Lie symmetry) is introduced. Applications given exhibit a reduction of the usual symmetry, e.g., in the case of the rotation group. In this context, a particular generalization of Lie algebras is found (“extended Lie algebras”) which turns out to be an involutive distribution or a simple example for a tangent Lie ...

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

The Most Important Causes for Weakening the Extremist Narrators (Ghalis) [PDF]

open access: yesتحقیقات علوم قرآن و حدیث, 2016
From the perspective of scholars of hadith, accepting and trusting the narratives of a narrator depends on a variety of factors, lack of each result in distrust.

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Who lies to protect another? Motivational, behavioral, and socio-cognitive predictors of children’s interventional deception

open access: yesPsychology of Language and Communication
The objective of the current study was to examine how the expected rewards, theory of mind, and false praise-telling relate to interventional deception that prevents moral transgression.

Historical Techniques of Lie Detection

open access: yesEurope's Journal of Psychology, 2015
Since time immemorial, lying has been a part of everyday life. For this reason, it has become a subject of interest in several disciplines, including psychology.
