This article proposes a convergent adaptive observer for a damped wave PDE and an infinite‐dimensional ODE coupled in cascade using sampled‐in‐space ODE state measurements. The proposed observer estimates the distributed states of the PDE and ODE along with unknown PDE parameters and spatial input.

Solvable complemented Lie algebras. [PDF]
In this paper a characterisation is given of solvable complemented Lie algebras. They decompose as a direct sum of abelian subalgebras and their ideals relate nicely to this decomposition.

Inner ideals of real Lie algebras [PDF]
PósterIf $L$ is a Lie algebra, a subspace $B$ of $L$ is called an \emph{inner ideal} if $[B,[B,L]]\subset B$. This notion is inspired in Jordan algebras and it dues to [1], which used it to reconstruct the geometry defined by Tits from the corresponding

N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 4 SYM, (super)-polynomial rings and emergent quantum mechanical symmetries
The structure of half-BPS representations of psu(2, 2|4) leads to the definition of a super-polynomial ring R $$ \mathcal{R} $$ (8|8) which admits a realisation of psu(2, 2|4) in terms of differential operators on the super-ring.

The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

On upper modular subalgebras of a Lie algebra. [PDF]
This paper is a further contribution to the extensive study by a number of authors of the subalgebra lattice of a Lie algebra. We give some necessary and some sufficient conditions for a subalgebra to be upper modular.

Planar Solid‐State Nanopores Toward Scalable Nanofluidic Integration Based on CMOS Technology
We present a scalable silicon‐based fabrication strategy for planar solid‐state nanopores to enable their integration with complex nanofluidic systems. Prototype devices demonstrate normal voltage‐current characteristics, good noise performance, and appreciable streaming currents. Our CMOS‐compatible fabrication process offers precise geometric control

Poisson structures on affine spaces and flag varieties. I. Matrix affine Poisson space [PDF]
The standard Poisson structure on the rectangular matrix variety Mm,n(C) is investigated, via the orbits of symplectic leaves under the action of the maximal torus T ⊂ GLm+n(C).

On Lie ideals satisfying certain differential identities in prime rings
Let R be a prime ring of characteristic not 2, L a nonzero square closed Lie ideal of R and let F : R → R, G : R → R be generalized derivations associated with derivations d : R → R, g : R → R respectively.
