On New Conservation Laws of Fin Equation

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematical Physics, 2014
We study the new conservation forms of the nonlinear fin equation in mathematical physics. In this study, first, Lie point symmetries of the fin equation are identified and classified.

Limit cycles and Lie symmetries

open access: yesBulletin des Sciences Mathématiques, 2007
Given a planar vector field U which generates the Lie symmetry of some other vector field X, we prove a new criterion to control the stability of the periodic orbits of U. The problem is linked to a classical problem proposed by A.T. Winfree in the seventies about the existence of isochrons of limit cycles (the question suggested by the study of ...

Golden‐Ratio–Guided Aperiodic Architected Metamaterials with Simultaneously Enhanced Strength and Toughness

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Guided by the golden ratio, a class of aperiodic architected metamaterials is introduced to address the intrinsic trade‐off between strength and toughness. By unifying local geometric heterogeneity with global order, the golden‐ratio‐guided aperiodic architecture promotes spatial delocalization of damage tolerence regions, leading to more tortuous ...

Two‐Dimensional Materials as a Multiproperty Sensing Platform

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Various sensing modalities enabled and/or enhanced by two‐dimensional (2D) materials are reviewed. The domains considered for sensing include: 1) optoelectronics, 2) quantum defects, 3) scanning probe microscopy, 4) nanomechanics, and 5) bio‐ and chemosensing.

Controllability analysis of mechanical multibody dynamics control systems based on lie symmetry

open access: yesAlexandria Engineering Journal
To quantitatively characterize the dynamic controlled performance of mechanical multibody systems and design collaborative control strategies, this paper investigates the controllability of mechanical multibody dynamic control systems. Firstly, under the

Reductions and conservation laws for BBM and modified BBM equations

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2016
In this paper, the classical Lie theory is applied to study the Benjamin-Bona-Mahony (BBM) and modified Benjamin-Bona-Mahony equations (MBBM) to obtain their symmetries, invariant solutions, symmetry reductions and differential invariants. By observation

Dual‐Phased Molybdenum Carbides Confined in MOF‐Derived Carbon Nanoframes Enhance Capacitive Desalination

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Dual‐phase MoC/Mo2C/CoNC nanoframes are synthesized via a MOF‐on‐MOF strategy, demonstrating a large salt adsorption capacity, a low energy consumption, and an excellent cycling stability. In situ/ex situ characterizations and DFT calculations reveal that the MoC/Mo2C dual phase transition facilitates Na+ adsorption/desorption, while interface‐induced ...

Magnetic and Structural Response Tuned by Coexisting Mn Concentration‐Dependent Phases in MnBi2Te4 Thin Film Grown on GaAs(001) by Molecular Beam Epitaxy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The study explores structural and magnetic properties of one of the most recent topological quantum materials (MnBi2Te4). The Mn‐poor structure leads to stacking faults (quintuple layer ‐ QL of Bi2Te3 formation instead of a septuple layer ‐ SL of MnBi2Te4), resulting in a coexistence between weak antiferromagnetism and ferromagnetism.

Full‐Spectrum Solar Harvesting and Desalination Enabled by Supra‐Nano Amorphous Ruthenium Dioxide – Mineral Composites

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A mineral‐based supra‐nano amorphous ruthenium dioxide composite (a‐Ru0.5‐AM) was designed, achieving 97% broadband solar absorption. Under one sun, it reaches 87.91 ± 0.32 °C with a distinct thermal buffering effect that favors thermal confinement.

Reduction of Symplectic Lie Algebroids by a Lie Subalgebroid and a Symmetry Lie Group

open access: yesSymmetry, Integrability and Geometry: Methods and Applications, 2007
We describe the reduction procedure for a symplectic Lie algebroid by a Lie subalgebroid and a symmetry Lie group. Moreover, given an invariant Hamiltonian function we obtain the corresponding reduced Hamiltonian dynamics. Several examples illustrate the
