Thermodynamic modelling of LiF–LnF3 and LiF–AnF3 phase diagrams

Journal of Nuclear Materials, 2004
Abstract The phase diagrams of the LiF–LnF3 series, where Ln = La–Sm, and of LiF–AnF3, where An = U, Pu, have been optimized using Redlich–Kister functions. The phase diagrams of LiF–AmF3 and LiF–PuF3–AmF3 have been calculated. The necessary Gibbs energy functions for americium trifluoride were defined by use of a semi-empirical method.

Thermodynamic modeling of LiF-NaF-KF-CrF3 system

Journal of Fluorine Chemistry, 2018
Abstract The thermodynamic evaluation and optimizations of the KF-CrF 3 and NaF-CrF 3 systems were carried out within the framework of CALPHAD (CALculation of PHAse of Diagrams) approach. The liquid phase was described by the associated solution model, and the intermediate phase were treated as stoichiometric compound model.

Defect state model for localized excitations in LiF

Physics Letters A, 1977
Abstract We find that a defect state treatment of localized excitations in LiF within the local density functional formalism accounts remarkably well for the observed experimental (core plus optical gap) excitations — in contrast to the failure of the one-electron band model.

PIV and LIF Measurements in Aortic Dissection Models

Volume 3: Biomedical and Biotechnology Engineering, 2017
In this work an in-vitro flow experiment is conducted to elucidate the flow behavior in simplified aortic dissection (AD) disease geometries. In AD, the innermost layer of the aortic wall is locally and partially torn allowing blood to flow between the wall layers forming a parallel blood stream in what is known as the false lumen. The aim of this work

LiF Thickness dependence of Electron Injection Models for Alq3/LiF/Al Cathode Structure

Chinese Physics Letters, 2014
We present the experimental evidences showing that three different electron injection models play roles in Alq3 based organic light-emitting diodes in sequence when the thickness of LiF interlayer is changed. It is found that the device with a 0.2 nm LiF layer displays the largest current with declined luminescence.

Deformable shell model and the properties of LiF crystals

Journal of Physics C: Solid State Physics, 1972
The authors discuss the nature of deformation of the electron charge cloud of an ion implied in the deformable shell model and considers an application of the model to the case of LiF crystals. It is found that the properties of the crystal are fairly well reproduced by the present model and certain discrepancies noted by earlier authors are removed ...

Stimulated LIF studied using pulsed digital holography and modelling

SPIE Proceedings, 2013
A frequency tripled Q-switched Nd-YAG laser (wavelength 355 nm, pulse duration 12 ns) has been used to pump Coumarin 153 dye solved in ethanol. The laser induced fluorescence (LIF) spectrum has been recorded using a spectrometer at different dye concentrations.

A Mine Water Source Prediction Model Based on Lif Technology and Bwo-Elm

Journal of Fluorescence, 2023
The traditional methods for identifying water sources in coal mines lack the ability to quickly detect water sources and are prone to causing secondary pollution of samples. In contrast, laser induced fluorescence (LIF) technology has been introduced for the identification of coal mine water sources due to its high sensitivity and real-time performance.

A CHAOTIC MULTILAYER LIF SCHEME TO MODEL THE PRIMARY VISUAL CORTEX

Biomedical Engineering: Applications, Basis and Communications, 2021
Precise mathematical modeling of the primary visual cortex (V1) is still a challenging problem. Due to the high similarity of visual system of cat and human, in this paper, we present a hybrid model to track the electrical responses of neurons that are measured by a multi-electrode array implanted in cat V1.
