Embedded Life Cycle Costing Elements in Green Building Rating Tool

open access: yesCivil Engineering Journal, 2019
Green Building rating tools are the essential need of this era, to cope up with the sustainable development goals, climate change, and natural resource degradation through buildings. Realization of green building incentives decently increased within past

Next‐generation proteomics improves lung cancer risk prediction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This is one of very few studies that used prediagnostic blood samples from participants of two large population‐based cohorts. We identified, evaluated, and validated an innovative protein marker model that outperformed an established risk prediction model and criteria employed by low‐dose computed tomography in lung cancer screening trials.

LCA/LCC analysis of starting-lighting-ignition lead-acid battery in China [PDF]

open access: yesPeerJ, 2018
Background China has the largest lead–acid battery (LAB) industry and market around the world, and this situation causes unavoidable emissions of Pb and other pollutants.

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

A decision-making framework for effective maintenance management using life cycle costing (LCC) in a rolling stock environment

open access: yesSouth African Journal of Industrial Engineering, 2016
In this paper, a life cycle costing (LCC) framework for effective maintenance management is investigated and developed for use in a railway rolling stock environment.

Briefing Note 1A - Life-Cycle Costs Approach: Costing Sustainable Services [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
This briefing note uses an accounting framework, the life-cycle costs approach (LCCA), to explain the main cost components for water and sanitation in rural and peri-urban areas. The briefing note explains the building blocks used in the LCCA, then shows

Phenotypic and genotypic characterization of single circulating tumor cells in the follow‐up of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.

Financial Reporting for Environmental and Social responsibility: A Normative Strategic Concept [PDF]

open access: yes
Corporate responsibility demands that firms address environmental and social values in their firm’s policy and key performance indicators. These are integrated through strategic planning and require firms to merge the longer term environmental and social

Life Cycle Costing and Food Systems: Concepts, Trends, and Challenges of Impact Valuation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Our global food systems create pervasive environmental, social, and health impacts. Impact valuation is an emerging concept that aims to quantify all environmental, social, and health costs of food systems in an attempt to make the true cost of food more

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.
